Did anyone else see Clarke's inning last night? Very classy.

Johnson's ball to Tendulkar was a ripper

Just having a look at tonights game. Once again the Australians scored well with a pair of 87's off Symonds and Haddin who is playing as a batsman.
Hayden did very well with 75.

We need to bowl well and be disciplined

Didn't catch it SC, but did that pest who opens the bowling for India Sreesanth, I think, carry on like a pork chop & stare. Can't wait for him to come here & try that.

The Indians lost another wicket but they are getting stuck in.
I think this is the start of the 11th over and they are 2 for 70

3 for 79 in the 12th over

As a mad Victorian fan I am duty bound to love Hodge but when you come out at 1/3 a few weeks after stating you want to open in the longer version of the game its probably best if you dont go fishing after wide outswingers 5 balls into your innings. I think Hodge is a fantastic 4 or 5 at the top level but have concerns over his technique batting up the order. He is a massive confidence player and I hope that by asking to be given a shot as an opener he hasn't damaged his chances of getting the middle order spot he probably deserves.

IMO, Hodge is just short of what is required at the International level.

There was a fair bit of aggro in this game. It might be a spirited series.

Why were the Indians on the angry pills? Don't recall them being a side like that.

A lot of money is being poured into Indian cricket at the moment and the rewards for the players are enormous. My guess is that they know they are close to being a dominant nation and are prepared to push back and even initiate some of the aggro with the Aussies.
They have probably decided to fight fire with fire and this an Aussie team missing a few star players from previous season and might be their best chance to gain an edge.

Apparently India has gone mad about the win in the 20/20 world cup and I think it might have gotten on the aussies nerves a little bit. Everytime a team goes like this against us they end up getting hammered.

I watched a bit of this last night and the Australians controlled the game even with a great century from Singh.I dont think Hodge is up to the standard and would have preferred to see the in form Haddin play again. Hopes is doing OK so we still have plenty of batting depth.

The Aussies were average last night and uncharacteristically poor with the disciples of bowling tightly in the final overs.
The wickeeper/captain from India has a very strong resolve about him.

The umpiring was shocking. The bowlers dominated early on. Saw 2 lbw appeals against Tendulkar turned down . The second was as plumb as you could get. In between the those two he dangled his bat way outside his pads, got an definite inside edge through to Gilly but again the appeal was turned down.

Not sure if Ponting was given out stumped in a close call too.

This game was won before it started.

The Indians were on the business end of a pants down spanking today. 9 wickets in hand and 25 overs left is a comprehensive victory. We are now three one up with two to go.

The Aussies knocked up a huge score thanks to Symonds with support from Haddin, Hopes and Lee but the Indians have moved on at a cracking pace and are 70 without lost in the 13th over.
I reckon the Indians might win this if the openers can get through until the 20th over.

Aussie win.
Hogg and Johnson brought the Aussies back.
Someone needs to tell Sreesanth that if you talk the talk you need to walk the walk. Dropped Symonds early on and a fairly easy one.
Although Brett Lee's drop of Dhoni was worse, a real dolly.

The Aussies are struggling tonight. They dropped Hayen and moved Clarke to the top of the order. Clarke got a first ball blob as did Symonds.

So did Hogg but the ball clearly missed the bat without the need for replays or slow mo aids. Same ump that gave Tendulkar not out 3 times in an earlier game when clearly was. Cheat.

Thats 2 ducks for Clarke opening the batting. Hodge is useless.

I thought the Aussies would get pumped but just lost and probably should have won having them 6-64 at one stage.

Overall the Indians were well outclassed in this series but couldn't understand their arrogance.

Yes it was a funny game. Given the treatment of Symonds I suspect the Australian crowds will respond in an even more aggressive manner.

I watched to Twenty/20 last night and we got beaten with 11 balls to spare. Not a fan of the game but the crowd was just phenomenal. It was the most packed venue I have ever seen.
Ponting was in exciting form and Hayden looked real dangerous. Hidge failed to produce and I guess he will have his card marked so to speak.

I reckon we we 20 runs to light on last night.
