I have my doubts that Hodge is as good as some seem to think. He just isnt consistent enough and every time he comes to the crease Im not confident that he will do the job. He has an impressive state level record but I dont see it translating to the international level any time soon. When he is on he is a batsman worth watching but he just isnt on enough. Thoughts ?

No and no again so I can fill up the character quota

Two words - Jamie Siddons.
Excellent state player, not quite up to international standard.
Although unlike Siddons, Hodge got a shot.

To be honest I reckon Siddons was a far better cricketer. I was at the junction oval and saw him score 200 in a day. One of the most brilliant innings I have ever witnessed.

Hodge just isn't quite up to the standard

No and no. Hasn't he got some basic flaw in his technique IIRC?

He was shocking again last night and I think Haddin should be in at his expense.
