I saw Moises Henriques play a few times last year for the Blues and whilst his form wasn't great he is still an exciting prospect. He has a sound temperament with the bat and he bowls at a very decent clip.

Probably better suited to the longer version of the game at the moment but I'm interested to hear what others think of him?

At a glance:
DOB: 1 February, 1987
Club: St George
RHB, RF
Height: 187cm
Weight: 89kg

A player to watch this summer. Blooded last season when he played two ING Cup games, including the ING Cup Final. Showed great maturity beyond his years opening the attack and taking a wicket before guiding his side home with five not out in the pressure cooker decider won by a wicket. Impressed team-mates with his cool displays under pressure. The all-rounder is also an excellent fieldsman. Still only 20 but shapes as the complete package and is sure to get more opportunities this summer. Captained the Australian Under 19 team at the World Cup in Sri Lanka, performing extremely well with both bat and ball. Won the Rexona Australian Youth Cricket Scholarship in 2004.

IIRC he had a very good consistent grade season for a young player last season and of course comes from the right state. ;)

Where's Watson at?

Needs a season playing for Queensland as a batsman. I haven't written him off either but his bowling will only be an extra rather than a wicket taking strength.

Henriques needs to prove himself. He sound promising but hes a long way behind others. Let him take a couple of 5 fors and make 100 or two before we should consider him.

Hopes is OK at the ODI level but would never be a candidate for a test spot. I don't mind us not having an allrounder because unless you can get a good one they often can let the team down with both the bat and ball.

I wonder why Ashley Noffke has never really been given a shot as an all rounder? In one day cricket he would be a great 4th paceman and more than handy number 8. I think he would be worth considering if we were to go into a test wanting to play 4 pacemen.
