Even first day with the Vics 5 for 291. Hussey scored a century and once again White made a good score without going on with it.

Looks like this one is headed for a draw.

Rofe seems to be a bit out of favor at the moment. Would've liked to see him line up too.

Hopefully the captains make some good declarations and spice it up a bit.

And our woeful batting continues.

How you guys put on so many runs too... Hopeless Redbacks, hopeless.

Sorry for SA. Losing Matthew Elliot was the best thing that happen to the VICS. Mentally soft.

How was the NSW vs WA game. Matthew Nicholson makes 105 to get NSW to 260 odd and then WA get bowled out for 99. NSW are something like 1 for 145 at stumps. This one will be an outright.

Lovely.

The game will probably be over this afternoon. Very disappointing.

SA all out 249, Dizzy Gillespie (the proud Doggies supporter) got 49 for the Redbacks.

Vics 0/17 shortly after lunch and have a lead of 206. Will probably consolidate over the next hour and then look for some quick runs (Hussey & White) with the eye to putting SA back in late today for an hour or so.

Thank God for Dizzy. I'm surprised we cracked 200.

Chasing a target of 348 the Redbacks are already 3 for 25.

The game is over. At least Dizzy was sent out as night watchmen. We're reliant on another Dizzy Double Ton today to have any chance I think.

The Borgas brothers were hopeless.

Disgraceful effort by the Redbacks.

SA routed for 77.

Peter Siddle took 3 wickets in his opening over this morning.

Victoria win by 270 runs.

[B]Dizzy top scored in BOTH innings for SA.

Best all-rounder in Australia :D

And our most accomplished batsman. Gee, that was shocking. Are you revoking your tip for SA to do well this year GVGjr? :D

I'll have to. I didn't realise that Boofa wasn't playing but that was a sub standard effort on their own patch.

Yes, with Boof and Tait we'll certainly be a bit stronger, I won't write the season off just yet.

The Vics are off to a great start to the season. I'd like to see White turn those 80's into 100's though. Hussey is still in fine form.

At least we were competitive in the one day game.

Harwood was great.
What did everyone think about Blizzard's dismissal? I thought he hit it when I saw it, then I thought he must have been out, but then I thought he'd hit it first again. Looked dodgy at the time, didn't really matter in the end though.

Lewis got 1-63. Is he in trouble? There seems to be some pretty good competition for pace spots.

I think he still has a bit to offer, but a couple more performances like this and he may find himself on the outer.

I think on form he would be in trouble but with Siddle limping around there is probably still a spot for him. I would have played McKay instead of Lewis yesterday.
