Great position to be in. They will be looking to score another 90 to 100 for the session for just the loss of another wicket.

Australia as they have a habit of doing will just grind Sri Lanka into the ground alas last week's test match.

3 for 329 is a great day for us again.
Jacques backs up and even 100 in the first test with an even 150 in the second test.
Hussey once again brilliant. I suppose the question is can he maintain a batting average of over 80 by the end of the series against India as well? I doubt it but its phenomenal for him to still have an average that high.
With Symonds and Gilchrist still to come a score of 450 plus should secure the game for us.

Is the pitch dead or the SL attack just rubbish?

A bit of both. The Sri Lankans played a bowler short for a fair bit of the day.

Stumps Day 4
S/L 3/247 still 259 runs behind.
MacGill bowled one of the worst spells I have ever seen late this afternoon, absolute crap.

I agree fully about MacGill. Little to no control and very expensive.
Does anyone think we will lose this?

Surprised they went with Johnson before Clark this morning, but it has certainly paid off.

Magnificent throw though.
Sangakkara's bloody stiff. Bat was nowhere near it, 8 shy of a double ton, I'd be bleeding.

Stinking decision for Sangakkara, gee he was batting well.

Sure was, they put on another 100 than I thought they would, which was pleasing to see.
Might I say, that I'm still not convinced by the majority of our bowling attack? I think when we play against a team with a solid batting line up, we might come up a bit short. Lee was great, but I can't help but have a few question marks over the rest of the attack at this stage.
Our batsmen did very well though.
Looking forward to Boxing Day!
