For me, coming through the bad times, makes the good times so much sweeter.
Going back in the future past the cheap as chips era, to the merger times it's amazing to think just how close we could have been to not enjoying the good patch we're in. Which led me to thinking abot what i would've done if the club has ceased to exist or merge. Whether i could support a club which was not mine 100% or whether i'd change or whether i'd follow footy.
All hypothetical now, but personally i think i would have given footy up all together. And what it should show morons like Ross Oakley and current admnistrators is there is a great deal of loyalty for our clubs and that things go in cycles - I have no doubt if the Roys were given more time, things could've turned. And most importantly the AFL (VFL) should not abandon any teams in Victoria.
So would you have walked, supported a mutant club or change clubs?
