Group A
Switzerland
Czech Republic
Portugal
Turkey
Group B
Austria
Croatia
Germany
Poland
Group C
Netherlands
Italy
Romania
France
Group D
Greece
Sweden
Spain
Russia
Obvious hard group being group C, Romania would be shitting their dacks. IMO the progressing teams look to be Czech, Portugal, Germany, Croatia, France, Netherlands, Spain and Sweden. Who are our tips to win? Hoping for my sake Croatia goes alright, wouldn't mind seeing a few underdogs thrown in, also like to see teams like Poland and Sweden win.
Anyone else following Euro 2008 Qualifying?

My predictions on which two to progress from each group. Gee, group C is the group of death.
Group A: Czech Republic & Portugal
Group B: Germany & Croatia
Group C: Italy & Holland
Group D: Spain & Greece

No easy groups in Europe though if Greece fluke it through again I'll be amazed.
You'll find that Russia replaces Turkey (named twice) in Group D.

Group C is the group of death but you'd pay to watch each game.
Wouldn't be surprised to see France sneak in. Holland always manage to implode at some point under pressure.

Isn't Spain always regarded as an underachiever?
I wonder if the Spanish footy forums are filled with comments about the management accepting mediocrity? ;)

Put it this way, don't be surprised to see 2 of the other 3 qualify even though Spain will probably be favourites. They never seem to get into the pointy end of tournaments despite the quality of players.

I was over in Spain and Portugal for the last Euro championship. The Spainsh folk are bloody harsh on there team and the lack of success that they have. Watched most of there games in bars, etc.. and the amount of distain for there team was frightening.
As you say they have a team of very talented players, but for some reason or another they just don't gel.
