What did everyone think of the squads that were announced?

Twenty/20
Adam Gilchrist (wk), Brad Hodge, Michael Clarke (capt), Michael Hussey, Andrew Symonds, Adam Voges, Brett Lee, Ashley Noffke, Nathan Bracken, Stuart Clark, Mitchell Johnson, Shaun Tait.

One Day
Adam Gilchrist (wk), Matthew Hayden, Ricky Ponting (capt), Michael Clarke, Andrew Symonds, Michael Hussey, Brad Haddin, James Hopes, Brad Hogg, Brett Lee, Mitchell Johnson, Shaun Tait, Nathan Bracken

Is it time to start making some tough decisions with these squads?
I would have thought if Hodge is not regarded as a one day cricketer then it's pointless playing him in the Twenty/20.
I think that it might have been time to move Hayden out of the one day squad.
I also think that Haddin should be the keeper in twenty/20 with Gilchrist being rested.

We should change a bit of it around but I dont know if I can agree on dropping Gilly. If he wants to play we should play him.

What did people think of the game last night?

Another easy win for Australia.

Can someone tell me, who Pomersbach is and a bit of info on him?

Tait bowled well.

I thoroughly enjoy T20. I much prefer it to 50 over games.

The middle 25-30 overs are too predictable and boring. Perhaps if they gradually reduced the field restrictions it would be more interesting - 2 fielders out for the first 15 overs, 3 fielders out for the next 10, 4 out for the next 10, then 5 out for the last 15.

Pommersbach is going to be a beauty. He'll play a lot of cricket for Australia over the next 10 years. He's only played 7 1st class matches but has 2 x 100's and averages 60.

He's currently under suspension by the WACA for a mid-week drinking session.

Thanks for that. I had never heard of him at all, which isn't really that surprising since I don't follow the other states younger players that closely. Sounds like a promising type.

Agree with your comments about the 20/20. Although, when I am attending games I like them to last a bit longer, as between trips to the bar and seeing a few people it's often hard to fit in much actual cricket viewing. I find anyway :D

How great was it to have 5 strike bowlers in the team last night?
I know they only have to bend the back for the four overs but it makes you think why it couldn't work in the 50 over game.

I think someone else touched on this but do we need a test standard keeper behind the stumps? The ball doesn't beat the bat much on most other pitches with last night probably being the exception.
