What was the early scare?

I was driving home and I think they said we were 2 for 2 off 2. (Richie would have loved it :))

Another great win.

Super effort with the ball with with a very inexperienced attack.

Hussey led from the front with the bat and continues to push for selection at the highest level in some form of the game.

Peter Siddle is averaging something like 11 with the ball this season and Nannes, Denton (possible Australian candidate if he stayed fit), and Harwood have also been great. Even Mckay ripped through a side a few games back. Consistently producing good first class bowlers at the moment.

Wrong colour blue for that!

The problem with the Victoria attack is that it is fairly old. I also don't agree that Denton would be a candidate for an Australian berth even without the injuries when there is guys like Tait and Noffke well ahead of him.

Siddle has been impressive and I hope he stays injury free.

I also don't agree that Denton would be a candidate for an Australian berth even without the injuries when there is guys like Tait and Noffke well ahead of him. Everytime he gets on the park he tears through sides. Obviously he would have to work his way up the pecking order but with an injury free run I think he would have a chance of doing that. Heard a number of opposition players rate him as the best swing bowler in our domestic scene and he bowls at a good click as well.

How good were the Vics today? Modest score considering they wasted an over and a half but did it easily in the end. I had a look at Hastings and I think he is a fair way off playing the four day game though. His bowling is more than OK against batsman trying to score but I dont think he would be a big wicket taker in the Pura cup.

Agreed that the Vics were good and Hasting bowling was tight but not overly penetrating. Hussey looked good again.
