So who is your selection as the spinner for the Boxing Day test?
Could it be someone else?

It has to be Hogg doesn't it?

If you were to play a spinner it has to be Hogg. He had a very good game at the MCG vs Vics earlier in the season so has good form at the ground.

Personally I say play 4 quicks and let Clarke and Symonds bowl some part time stuff when required. The Indians love slow bowling, they dine out on it so let's deny them the slow stuff and try and blast them out.

Two of the tests are in Sydney and Adelaide though.

Statistically there's not a real lot between Hogg and McGain. Hogg has 13 @ 30 in 4 matches, McGain has 21 @31 from 6. That means to me that Hogg would be ahead because he's got the form at ODI level (not that this should matter but it does).

Agree that ODI form shouldn't matter, but some how it does. M.Hussey received his chance at test level due to weight of numbers in the ODI form, rightly or wrongly it counts. Hogg I feel is in the same boat, but to me it doesn't mean it is right.
