I was watching the Patriots strut their stuff today with a thrilling come from behind win which gave them an unprecedented 16 game winning season. Ironically the well performed Australian Cricket team goes into the next test looking to make it 16 wins on the trot.
It's very hard to stack up teams from different sports against each other but these two teams are clearly a cut about their rivals at the moment.
Out of curiosity would anyone like to compare the dominance of the two teams at the moment?
This is a press release after todays game.
16-0 in the books Fred Kirsch
Finally, it's in the books. The New England Patriots are the first team in NFL history to win 16 regular season games with a 38-35, much tougher than expected win over the New York Giants.
The New England Patriots finished the 2007 NFL regular season doing everything a team could possibly do. They won blowouts and close ones, come-from-behind ones and bad weather ones. They won them all and are now the first team in league history to win 16 regular season games.
After battling an inspired Giants team that had its own idea of making history, the Patriots came out on top, 38-35. It took Tom Brady passing for 356 yards (32 of 42) with two touchdowns and his two favorite targets coming up equally big. Wes Welker had 11 catches for 122 yards and Randy Moss had 6 receptions for 100 yards and two record-breaking touchdowns.
