Was mentioned on the Ford Ranger Cup telecast on Fox today that he has rolled his ankle and is in some doubt.
Who should come in to replace him? IMO I would go with Dan Cullen, as every spinner at the moment is very average, but at least Cullen has some sort of potential.

Very hard choice as no one else really deserves it. Probably Casson would get the nod.

Scratch that.
Hauritz has been named on stand-by. May I go on record as saying that this is a TERRIBLE selection.

As I just posted in the 2nd test selection thread, Nathan Hauritz is on stand-by (source: Channel 10)

I disagree. He has bowled well without luck the few times I have seen him this season.

Any chance of luring Ashley Mallett out of retirement?

4 years ago I thought Hauritz was a player of the future, as I did 3 years ago with Dan Cullen.
Yet both have returned diminishing returns at State level as the seasons have passed.
What has happened? Is it the wickets we are producing? Is it bad luck? Has too much one day cricket dulled there bowling in the long form of the game?
Nothwithstanding Krezja's debut haul of 12, I'm still not convinced he is a long term Test level spinner. His stats at 1st class level are none too flattering.
The fact that no spin bowler at 1st class level in this country is showing the kind of bowling returns that would demand selection is very troubling.
