This from the Hun. Still a long way to go to get to the 32,000 mark but a great result never the less

Dogs' record membership
18 April 2007 Herald-Sun
THE Western Bulldogs yesterday celebrated a record membership tally.

The Dogs have 27,602 members, surpassing last year's record of 26,042. The club has signed 4000 more members than at the same time last year.
The Dogs will wear their new white clash strip for the first time against Richmond on Friday night.

It would be good if we can get to at least 30,000, I suspect the budget is based on that figure, with 32000 a bonus.

Need to win this weeks game to get the memberships back on track. If not it will be a lot harder to get people to sign up.

Last year we heard about it in the media all the time. This year has been much quieter.

Maybe it's harder to get a run if you don't win your first four.

28,400 reported by Robert Stubbs last night. They are still confident of getting between 30,000 and 32,000 members.

Great news for our clubs future.

It's good ot hear that so many things are falling into place. Hopefully this is another major turning point for the club as the managment team has worked long and hard at this.

I'll say. I didn't think we had a chance to get 30,000 members. I wonder how many memberships are Aker related?

And considering it hasn't been the most emphatic on field start to the season its looking a terrific result
