Apparently they are back running, and Eade said they are a chance for next week against Collingwood.

No need to play them if there is any danger but I would like to see Cross in even if it means limited game time.

DFA for sure. I'd like to keep Reid in.

Anyway great to hear that they are already training well.

Griff was interviewed at the TopDogs pregame dinner last night. He confirmed that he had a 2 cm tear in his hammy, but had run earlier in the day and had felt great and had no negative reaction. He would like to play next week but doubts the medicos will let him.

Please I hope common sense prevails - look at Chapman last night, better to have him the week after for mine.

I assume it all comes down to who we want to play week one of the finals Geelong or StKilda

Heard Eade on the radio today and he said Cross was a certainty but they were unlikely to risk Griffen.

As important as next week's game is the games after that are even more important and I very much doubt any risks will be taken. Were he to play then I assume no risk will be attached, irrespective of who we might or might not like to play in the first round of the finals.

Crossie will be a big in, our defensive pressure will get even better at stoppages and the Wollypuds will not have matters all their own way.

No need to risk Griffen he is to important and he usually plays well in finals. At least this gives Reid another game who really deserves it after the Geelong effort.
