Alessandro Diamanti, West Ham's newest recruit has just signed a five year deal, mega coin involved, a swanky pad in London but must be the softest wimp of all time.
Last week the Hammers played away to Wigan & Diamanti was left aghast at the standard of hair dryer in the team's hotel.
His hair - his beautiful permed and frosted and just-so tousled barnet - could surely not withstand such mistreatment. And without his hair, how could a man be expected to play?
Local stores were scoured to no avail - Diamanti's favoured high-spec Italian hairdryer could not be sourced, so he demanded that club officials send a courier to pick up his beloved hairdryer and transport it the 281.5 kilometres to Wigan. Incredibly, they agreed & thankfully for Diamanti it arrived in the nick of time!
