Just wondering what are your thoughts about the current crop of Aussies that have made it to the NBA?
Bogut = #1 pick, but now a 10pt 8reb player.
Jawai = Little hype, but not much court time.
Mills = So much promise, but a broken hand, slipping in the draft and now the foot injury.
Good points though: Mills just wrapped up the last spot on the Blazers playing list, so has the chance now to impress.
Also wild card Anderson, with the Rockets and without Yao will get plenty of court time. Watch this guy!

Also worth noting that Nathan Jawai was traded to Minnesota earlier in the week. He may see some time with Kevin Love out for 8 - 12 weeks.
David Andersen is an interesting one, 10.7 PPG 4.5 RPG in the Pre-Season,. Should do really well and see lots of minutes especially with the Rockets being so thin up front with the Yao injury.
I doubt Mills will see much time at all this year. Portland are loaded in the back court. Blake/Miller/Roy will all rotate at the Point and there is Bayless to get minutes in the back court as well. One thing with Nate McMillan, though who I am very familair with, if he trains hard, plays hard he will get some time. Nate has always rewarded hard workers and always seems to get the best out of them.

Can't see Mills getting much game time, McMillan apparently didn't want him there & it wasn't his call to sign him.

Jawai had a pretty good game today.
16 Points (7 - 11) 6 Rebounds (3 Offensive) in 22 minutes.
It was probably a lot of garbage time play but good to see him logging some solid minutes. Especially after what he went through to begin his NBA career.

Yeah. It was some pretty solid numbers. It's exactly what you want from a big man off the bench. I'd like to know if he was on the court the same time as Greg Oden? If so, those numbers look even better!

The minutes were pretty much spread out over the entire game according to the game log.

Looks like he faced up against Oden, Pryz and Aldridge for most of the game.

Hows David Andersen doing?
Struggling to find regular minutes.
The PF and Centre positions are rotated heavily through Scola, Hayes and Landry. I was expecting to see him a lot more but Houston are doing quite well with these 3 up front.

It's more impressive to score whilt Pryz is on the court. Oden is nothing but a fouling machine at the moment.

Jawai got the starting job today because Al Jefferson is out for 2 games. Off to a pretty good start to it seems.
