PROMISING Adelaide defender Andy Otten's 2010 season has been thrown into doubt by a serious knee injury at training today.

Otten, 20, who was runner up in last years AFL Rising Star award and this year won Adelaide's Emerging Talent award, was about to kick the football and change direction when his knee collapsed.

He took no further part in training at Max Basheer Reserve this morning.

He's been one of the big improvers for Adelaide so this is bad news for them. I hope he makes a speedy recovery

This is a bit of a shame . Andy is a player i enjoy watching:(.

Yes, full ACL reconstruction needed, poor guy. Had a terrific 2009 and looks to be a very good utility, being able to play almost any position on the ground.

Brodie Martin another young Crow has also undergone an ACL reconstruction a few months ago, so at least he'll have someone doing some rehab with him.

Hidious news.

You hate seeing players suffer serious knee injuries at any time, especially pre season, and to a kid.

We all remember Darce doing it 20 minutes before the Christmas break, devistating.
