Re: Stringer: Train the way you want to play

Ahhhhhhh… that sure was sweet. Only on the park for a couple of minutes and already had the heart racing. Yep, I'm in love. (In a mostly hetero way)

Glad you're able to at least acknowledge the other side of your feelings!

Absolute cracker of a goal. The gather was excellent, the side-step and shrug was excellent and the finish was sublime. I have a lot of respect for a player that can adjust the ball position at the last minute to suit his needs. After all of the work he did to get to kick the ball, it was how his thought (not instinct) enabled him to adjust his kick as required.

As for his injury and leaving the ground, I hope it's just precautionary, and he's able to get back into training soon.

God I nearly fell Off the 2nd level at etihad when he done that and dragged my mate down with me the way he attacked the ball along wIth Cordy to just get a hand on it, then gather, side step and nail the finish on that angle! I watched it 3 times already and I get more excited every time! Even the commentators lost it when he scored they were lOvIng it! Great game from the young guy very good work even for a shor period! Well done

My favourite moment of pure footy exhilaration since Johno booted that one against the crows, absolutely lost it

    From Bulldogs Facebook :

INJURY UPDATE: Scans reveal bone bruising and minor ligament damage in Jake Stringer's ankle. Good news, he'll only miss 3-4 weeks.

How did he do it? I didn't see it. Just rolled it?

Let's be positive and take the 4 or 6 and be happy, considering what most of our first thoughts were.
