He was but is listed as having graduated from St Kevins in 1992. Lot of people from Glen Waverley way went there as it is right on the train line.

Yes that's true. Not sure where Garlick, Penny and Mahoney went. I looked up that Penny was from the Oakleigh U18s and Mahoney from the Western Jets.

Penny actually left the school part way through year-11 iirc after a disagreement with the school over school football vs academy/under-age football. Mahoney I think finished in 1995.

What school did you go to divvydan. I went to Knox but right in the first post of the thread said that I couldn't recall anyone who played with us who attended there.

Peter Foster. And Tim Pekin. Gerard Foley who played a few games with Fitzroy in the 80's. Jonathan Simpkin. Should have been a lot more but Fitzroy weren't that active in their zone.

That Coodabeens interview with Gary Steele was hilarious. I'd never heard of the guy. I think he played 6 games. He's now living in South Korea. But he was one of those guys that were just not into footy. He was part of the deal that got Peter Featherby to the dogs.

He apparently was very talented but when he got to his club in WA(I think he said David Parkin was his coach) just didn't like the training and told Parko it wasn't for him and set off around Australia.

Throughout the interview he laughed a lot and it was obvious he knew very little about what a good footballer Featherby became or any other footballers for that matter. Very nonchalant! The movie 'The Club' could have been based on him.

    Did you live in Colac?
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Didn't Penny also leave us due to a disagreement of some sort?

He had problems with another player on the list if you believe the rumours.

So the story goes. But we got the 'next Andrew McLeod' so everyone's a winner.

Damn. What on earth could Nathan say to Luke to make him want to leave?

I could make a decent assumption given what I know about Luke but that would still only be a guess.
