The Bulldogs almost had a clean sweep when it comes to the AFL Coaches Association voting in round 17, with seven players recognised for their performance against the Gold Coast Suns.

Jack Macrae was named best on ground, awarded top votes (10) from senior coaches Brendan McCartney and Guy McKenna for his 43 disposal, two goal game.

Tom Liberatore strong form continued with six votes appointed to the midfielder after dominating inside the contest and kicking a crucial last quarter goal.

Ruckman Will Minson’s 39 hitouts and 17 touches were enough for him to attract four votes as the third highest rated Bulldog.

Luke Dahlhaus and Mitch Wallis were next in line, receiving three votes apiece, adding to the young Bulldogs brigade who dominated in their Club’s win.

Gold Coast’s Jaeger O’Meara was the only Sun to attract votes from either coach with two, while Bulldogs veterans Matthew Boyd and Robert Murphy were awarded one vote each.

At the conclusion of round 17 Tom Liberatore remains in the top ten of the leaderboard for the AFLCA Award, currently ranked eighth on 52 votes for the season.
