Well done Matty. Plenty to debate around whether he should have been re-signed, though I don't think many could begrudge him or the club of the outcome.

Important signing to continue the development of the younger group. Boyd has had a good season and deserved another year

Agreed, based on his form across the season he deserved another contract - good news.

    Re: Boyd to Re-sign

I've been a big critic of Boyd, mainly with his turnovers but I must admit that he seems like he has played within his limitations this year with only the slight blemish.
I happy with him going around another year. The one thing about Boyd is he is the utmost professional.

Well done Boyd, deserves another year, a player not appreciated by many supporters.

Like this. Firstly Boyd has deserved another year based on his very good season. Secondly, we need another year or two of strong bodies as part of our midfield rotations so that we don't overload our young emerging group from doing all the heavy lifting too early in their careers.

I'm happy with Boyd's re-signing. He a very good trainer and a very good trier, albeit with very poor disposal. I just wonder how much Clay Smith's knee reconstruction and Wallis's broken foot have to do with the timing.

Two weeks ago I was leaning firmly towards Wallis and Smith being thrown the Boyd role from next season, but obviously things have changed somewhat and Boyd becomes a very handy asset once again. A good move by the club in the circumstances.
