    Sliding Doors round 2

If you heard Bevo's post-match press conference last week and didn’t google "Fibonacci sequence" ... then ... you’re in the minority. Or a liar.

Barrett now leader of the Tom Boyd fan club?

IF our gut feel is right ... THEN ... Tom Boyd will kick eight.

I will counter that by saying 1 Boyd is rucking a lot so wouldn't be in the forward line long enough , obviously Barrett doesn't watch our games
2 he has made this outrageous statement to pot us if it doesn't happen, and it won't happen.

Re: Damien Barrett what's his agenda ?

The cynic in me says he's made this statement to find a way to at some later stage get back in the 'what a terrible trade tom Boyd was' market.
There is no way Tom Boyd is kicking 8 goals this weekend or anytime soon..Notwithstanding his extra ruck responsibilities right now, he's not in good form and would be lucky to get 8 kicks right now, let alone 8 goals.

Yeah setting him up to fail.

    That is a stupid statement.

Given everyone here is hanging on his every word, that makes him an excellent journalist.

    You're doing it wrong

IF everyone hangs on his every word...
THEN he must be an excellent journalist.

Re: Damien Barrett what's his agenda ?

When I read the entry for Brisbane I scoffed...I know we aren't hitting all cylinders at the moment, but I can't see us losing by 100 points this week.

And we struggle to score 100 points, so I know he couldn't have meant we would beat anyone by that kind of margin.

    Still on about TBoyd

If your memory is good ... then ... you'll recall the last Dogs-Giants game had Tom Boyd coming of age when he covered for the injured Roughead. Boyd will need to lift to help Campbell Friday night.

Not his gutter 'journalism' from the last couple of years, so thats a plus. I'm still not going to listen or read his stuff. He's one of a couple of high profile sports journos who should be the shining example to young journos of how good of an example to set, and get respect from the masses. Robbo going on about Bob's dead grand parents last week is another example of how desperate the industry is for knowledgable, insightful and wonderfully articulate journos. I don't think that's ever going to be Robbo, but Barrett has the potential to, except he doesn't chose to do it. But his choices are his choices, and mine is to ignore him until posts in this thread start to demonstrate a change for the better.

His Boyd obsession is tiresome. We have 21 other blokes in the team, you dunce.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.
