I didn't know he got selected. That's not a bad debut at all, especially more so since they'll 'net' win that trade comfortably.

Notice that the competitive beast Liam Jones has had another good game at the Northern Blues.

10 marks 4 tackles and 8 hitouts to go with 2 goals. VFL seems his level.

Let's just say he's starting to find his feet and understand the work ethic required to succeed at that level.

Give him another 10-15 years and he may work out how much work is required for him to succeed at AFL level.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Sneaky chance for the JJ Liston if he keeps that sort of form up
And assured of a contract extension with the Poo's

Aahh Koby, he always did love feasting on a fresh kill. Although when the pressure goes up a notch or 2 that's where he is found wanting. Good luck to him playing for that shit club. Maybe roo can teach him some diving tricks. #I'mnotbitter

There was a video on Facebook of his highlights...still taking chest mark speccies for some reason. Looked to be marking the ball well. Hopefully he can get his head right and turn it around.

Jones lacked 2 main things for an AFL player.

    1. The aerobic capacity required for continued repeat efforts.
    2. The courage to hold his ground in front of a pack.

All very well to continually take the speccie over the back, but you need to take them on the lead with your opponent coming at you. Liam always ran under the ball in that circumstance. If he fixed that he would be a much better player.

If he averaged over 8.4 disposals & .9 goals a game at Carlton he'd be a much better player and be playing for Carlton. I'm not sure there's anything that can make him better now, it's awfully dire when he's playing full back and ruck in the magoos in the last year of a decent 3 year contract.

Aren't we a pack of savages.

I don't hold any ill will towards Stevens. He really tried for us and was a solid contributor during what was a largely dirty time at the club results wise.

Yep. No problems with Stevens or his efforts with the club. Glad to see him getting a kick at the Saints.

    Re: Following our ex's...................

Didn't Koby leave because we didn't offer a contract and the saints offered him one ?
We left him in the lurch from what I remember.
Or was it to do with years and stability ?
He was a good hard player but sadly injuries tended to hit him at the wrong end of his contract.
I have no issue with Koby leaving at all he definitley would have struggled to get a game with us.
    Bring back the biff
