He has 3 years left on his contract but apparently said at his exit interview that he felt the combo with Ryder wasn't working and that he may be better off looking elsewhere. Makes sense with Port recruiting Charlie Dixon and Ryder being a better Ruck than forward.

Port are also rumoured to be very, very tight on salary cap, which would make them more open to moving on a player on good coin who may be surplus to requirements. On AFL trade radio they said Hinkley keen on keeping Lobbe but others in Port List Management happy to trade

There is the link to Bevo, he's a free agent so no cost, our CEO mentioned something about FA's, and he suits the age profile Bevo felt needed to be bolstered.

Personally I like him. You need that big leg cannon in your side. If Bevo thinks he can play a role that's good enough for me.

Not sure about this one. Doesn't defend well enough for the back line and doesn't win his own footy through the middle. I wouldn't hate the move but I don't see him adding much of what we need

    Re: List Management 2015

I don't mind him as a player, despite his obvious weaknesses in defending, but I'm not sure he fills any real need for us? I would have thought with Murphy/Boyd/JJ/Biggs and then Prudden/Webb in reserve we wouldn't even be thinking about a HBFer.

Perhaps he pushes up to a wing, but even then, we have pretty good depth.

I wouldn't hate the move but I'd rather we use the money on a KPD or somebody like Aish.

    Re: List Management 2015

I can see why he appeals as Boyd is likely in his last season, and besides JJ/Biggs we don't have a lot of fast running, long kicking depth for the half back area. Webb and Prudden are different types of players at this stage.

Hard to know what to think without knowing what we are offering him. I will say that guys with a weapon like him are invaluable in tight finals. Obviously a different player but guys like Stewy Dew come to mind.

    Re: List Management 2015

We need an outside player with a penetrating kick. If he's good enough to play in a Hawks best 22 over a very successful period and competent with defending to an extent where fitting into a structure effectively isn't a problem then he's probably good enough for us.

Our defence has players in it that would have been troubled if not afforded the comfort of the fledgeling but reasonably strong structure we put together this year. No player is perfect.

How many players have won three and above premierships across two clubs?
