Teams don't worry about Lewis Taylor
Not about a bulldog player but there's a fair bit about Saturday's game in the article. It's interesting anyway.

They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

People don't care now they can't make any money off him winning something.
The curse is dead.

Re: Teams don't worry about Lewis Taylor
I was calling him The Seagull on the weekend. Just floats around the outside picking up scraps.

Re: Teams don't worry about Lewis Taylor
Pretty pathetic article, gutless of supposed 'experts' to not put their name to anything

Re: Teams don't worry about Lewis Taylor
Pretty tough article on the kid .
Surely a victim of Bris Vegas not having any forward half structure
I think Sam Landsberger wrote it.
Come on young fella you're better than that

Re: Teams don't worry about Lewis Taylor
I noticed this on the weekend, we just didn't bother matching up on him. The few of the minimal times he did look to be creative by foot he turned it over badly, so we were obviously onto something.

perhaps some kudos to our coaching staff, in particular our opposition analyst.

Yep good spot by the coaching staff.

Re: Teams don't worry about Lewis Taylor
Unusually harsh article on a second year player. I guess Sammy Boy didn't hear about the fix and lost some coin on the Bont.

Re: Teams don't worry about Lewis Taylor
His most effective kick was a rushed one out of a pack that found a free Brisbane player at half forward.. Take that kick away and his metres gained would be neutral.

Re: Teams don't worry about Lewis Taylor
Agree that its a rough article on a young kid....but fairly accurate. He works hard to be an option for his team mates, but he couldn't possibly run any wider. At one point he ran past me in Access One and got a kick.

Right or wrong, that article is appallingly harsh. Who'd want to play?

For it to have quoted an unnamed analyst is weak as piss.
I can't even see it being an internal thing by the coach to give him a kick up the backside.

Re: Teams don't worry about Lewis Taylor
I found the article very interesting. Made me think about the sort of play we don't want from our guys. In particular, the article highlights how much it is better to have a player like Grant on the wing who might get less possessions but plays to a team plan and makes the possessions he gets count.
