    Women's side welcomes five

    Link

The Western Bulldogs have welcomed five new players to their women’s side to take on Melbourne in the second AFL Women’s Game in August.

After delisting five players earlier this month, the Bulldogs picked up Brianna Davey, Tahlia Randall, Caitlyn Randall, Emma Humphries and Maddy Collier in Wednesday’s mini-draft.

#1 – Brianna Davey (St Kilda Sharks)

A former soccer player, Davey has only returned to football in recent months. Her height is a major asset, with the ability to play tall, play inside or as key position player. An elite athlete, Davey has great experience and professionalism.

    #3 – Tahlia Randall (Nambour-Maroochydore)

An exciting prospect at only 17, Randall is still playing youth girls football in Queensland. An athletic, tall player with a great mark, Randall has the ability play in the midfield and use space to run, carry and utilise her neat kick.

#5 – Caitlyn Edwards (East Fremantle)

A ‘pressure player’, Edwards comes back to the Western Bulldogs after playing with the Club in 2014. A hard-running player, Edwards reads the ball well and is effective on the transition from defence into attack.

#7 – Emma Humphries (Burnie Dockers)

A hard-working runner, Humphries is known for her fitness and work rate. Her strength is in a contest, winning contest football. Looks set to flourish on a faster Etihad Stadium deck.

    #9 – Maddy Collier (UNSW)

An emerging young star, Collier is a tough rebounding defender with the ability to go into the midfield. She loves a contest and is an outstanding one on one player.

    Go Bulldogs!
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Looking forward to the girls going into the history books by cracking a first win for the club.
