Mitch Hahn did his knee the same year. I remember he and Murph on crutches watching us lining up for finals tickets.

Pretty sure it was 2006 and we got revenge on Collingwood in the EF.
Bobby resumed playing CHF when he returned and was terrific in 2008.
Edit.
Apologies. I did not see the additional posts clarifying it as 2006.

Can someone else step in please? I'm tied up this afternoon and am heading away over the weekend. Cheers.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

I'll step in.
I was played on a wet MCG deck in the 90s.
We overcame a sizeable 3QT deficit to record a narrow win.

V Adelaide? I think we were 38 down.

I'm going to have to use process of elimination, as it's not coming to top of mind. Assuming it wasn't finals and Etihad wasn't open (Hawks, Cats, Saints, Roy Boys, Carlton playing elsewhere), that leaves North, Essendon, Melbourne, Richmond & Collingwood.
North. 1995?

Team is correct.
I'm going to throw in a couple of extra questions to drag this out. Whoever gets the most gets next crack.
1. What year?
2. The 3qt and final margins?
3. Adelaide's only score in the last quarter. Who was the less than average Adelaide forward so kicked it?
4. Malcolm Blight's interchange tactics were a talking point from this game. Why?

I'm thinking and thining hard. I can't remember this game at all.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

But Blight only coached Adelaide in 1997/98/99 so it must have been one of those years.

MCG. 90s. Blighty. Adelaide. 3/4 time lead.... A team narrowly lost.
My memory has no such thing ever happening.

Re: Name A Game (Off Season Trivia Game)
If Twodogs and BT are both coming up blank then my work is done.
Round 16 1999.
Dogs come from 40 points down at 3QT to win by 2 points.
Adelaide's only score in the last came courtesy of a Bryan Beinke behind.
Malcolm Blight left 21yo Lucas Herbert on the bench for the entire game.
INB's turn.
