There's this one bloke, Easton Wood, who we seem to have done OK with.

Not for me.
Conca has always looked like a real ordinary footballer IMO.

That wasn't our medicos though - that was an osteopath working with VU who broke down Easton's running gait into minute detail, told him it was the worst he'd even seen for a professional athlete, than spent 3 months with Wood literally teaching him how to run again.
Wood basically did nothing but re-learn to run so he could go at full pace without hurting himself.

i think Jaksch's draft position is inflated. GWS pumped up a few of those kids when they had consecutive draft picks by reversing the order they took them in.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Why would Sydney trade him? Why would he want to leave Sydney?

So our first round pick and half a million to get him?

It's actually a player upgrade on our first rounder, then that first rounder and $500,000 a year. Presumably 5 years.

In my humble opinion he's a terrible footballer.

But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Yes. And I'm prepared to stand by that for the next decade.
Particularly against T Cloke - who we don't need.
If we hadn't had a ridiculous, unprecedented amount of injuries this year plus S Crammeri, we'd be serious GF contenders.
Let's be calm and smart and not get all 16yo giggly girl about one boy who likes us! Let's be calm, confident men, FFS! Pick em off like a confident man of the world! We're a hot ticket, gentlemen! Lift your eyes!

Understand your argument but one of those injuries you mention is to one of just 2 key forwards on our list. Cloke is hopefully a cheap, experienced replacement for Redpath.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.
