I went overseas for two years a few years back, re-joined once I got back, but then moved home a few times in the ensuing years. All I did was front up and provide my name and address when I signed each year, but I think the club then considered me a new person.

That als had me worried when the club claimed it had a database of 60,000 odd members if all the latent ones re- signed.... I remember thinking, "geez, I reckon I'm four or five of those people!"

Anyway, I've been a member for years, but am only counted since my last house move. I didn't realise it was all that important until embroidered scarves and GF ticket algorithms started coming into play! Still can't be bothered asking the club to audit and amalgamate the four or five me's!
