    Surprise or unknown Bulldogs fans

I came across this article about Melbourne criminal defence lawyer Rob Stary, who has built a career representing everyone from terror suspects to drug addicts. Worth a read.

    And there's this bit
Now, he works more sensible hours and takes extended holidays. He doesn't drink, smoke or gamble. His only vice is fanatic support for the AFL's Western Bulldogs. O'Connell says this is Stary at his worst: "Most people who go to the footy with him don't go again. In the lead-up to [last year's] grand final I had some contact with him, and his emails were incoherent. He was completely incapable of clear thinking."
The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.

I thunk his first practice may have been in Footscray.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Wonder if he has much to do with Gordo these days, given Gordon brought him into the S&G business before Stary left on bad terms.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Nick Cave once told me he is a Footscray supporter.

    They're still on good terms.
Wake me up when we get to heaven, let me sleep if we're going to hell

Good luck, for your sake I hope heaven and hell are really there, but I wouldn't hold my breath

Chas Licciardello always surprised me given he was a Sydney boy, but he sat behind me at a final 10ish or so years ago and was completely across the team - I think he's pretty fanatical.
