Well 4 for sure....although perhaps the No. 8 question we will have to do a poll on the most improved for season 2008. Hill, Cooney, Griffen there are a few possible candidates for that.

Hahaha, i was just checking back to see if i had filled out the questions, and came across this.

What a dunce Eade is sometimes! I should have said, 'any smart coach wouldn't play Doogs on Lucas.'

A little harsh there, it was a preseason practise match and a good guide to see where McDougall is at.

Thought I was being optimistic, but still wrong. Glad to be.

    2. Will we make the final 8?
    Emphatically, yes.

    YES.

    3. How many goals will Brad Johnson kick?
    31

    Hmm..

    4. How many goals will Scott Welsh kick?
    55

    Nope.

    5. Who will have the better season Cooney or Griffen?
    Griffen

Well, the umps disagree with me on this one. (I think Griff had the better finals series, though, which should count more, right?)

    6. Who will be our Best and Fairest Winner for 2008?
    Aker/Crossy

Well, half a point, I suppose. Aker was looking good for it after round 13.

    7. Which one of our players will get the most brownlow votes for the Dogs?
    Aker

    Nope.

    8. Who do you think will be our most improved player this season?
From last season, Aker. From the younger playing stock, Higgo, Hill and Andrejs (obvious picks, I know). My smokey: Big Will. I think he’ll go much better than most think. 25 goals at least, and a heap of presence and mongrel.

Well, Aker, Hill and Willy definitely improved from last year, Higgo got injured and Andrejs.. well...

    9. How many possessions will Daniel Cross get in Round 1?
    24/25 (24.5)

ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. (Two different stat sheets even disagree and Crossy has one extra handball in one, thus 24/25!)

    10. What position will we end up on the ladder come Round 22?
    4th/5th

Close... again, like mjp and hujsh, we were the only really optimistic ones here at the start of the season, and I STILL got it too low.

    11. Which young pup will make his debut first?
    Callan Ward

    Correct!

    12. How many points will we beat Richmond by in Round 5?
Will be closer than expected, I fancy. 12 points. (Or a blowout of 100+ points.. we don’t do things by halves when it comes to Richmond)

Well, it WAS closer than I expected. AND we again proved that we don't do things by halves when it comes to Richmond. I'm claiming style points here.
    Well!

I was being a bit silly with the dunce comment, but i still think it was stupid and of no value as an experiment. Trying him on an opponent he had some chance of matching up on might teach you something, but Eade used him on Lucas instead. Instead of providing a guide, i think it wasted a chance to get a feel for where Doogs was at, because 'not a good opponent for Lucas' was a box already well and truly checked.
