West collected Walker high during a contest in the Bulldogs' forward 50, with the ball eventually spilling out for Sam Darcy to kick a goal.
While Walker was cleared of a concussion and was able to play out the game, West has been cited for rough conduct, with the Match Review Officer grading the incident careless, high contact and medium impact.

Question is: is he a good guy?

Re: Tribunal / suspensions 2024
I would appeal there wasn't much in it and its just par for the course that they go through the concussion protocols.
It would have to be one of the squarest bumps going everything was tuck in and nothing raised up.
But he's a Bulldog and when we appeal he'll get 3 weeks.

So now it’s both our small forwards out .
Looks like Charlie Clarke will get a gig.

Jokes aside, it's a borderline call. If the AFEL tribunal was in any way consistent in their approach to head contact, I could see why he got a week. It's the inconsistency of results that is maddening - Laura Kane and Andrew Dillon have been total duds thus far, despite all the cheerleading from the media sycophants.

Tom Morris
The Western Bulldogs will not challenge Rhylee West's one game rough conduct suspension from the MRO.
He will miss Sunday's match v Hawthorn.

Seriously. Surely it was worth a try. It wasn't that nasty. It looked innocuous.

Opportunity to play Keath forward now…

We really are a piss weak club, at worst i thought he might cop a fine but even Bartel said it wasn't a bump, every other club contests that.

Who makes this non-call? Chris Grant?

It's just staggering how we just bow down and take our hit where's the bigger clubs jump up and down and scream until they get their own way (and usually do, Eddie was a pro at it), i mean it's not like Westy is the difference between a win or a loss on the weekend, but that's not the point, we just have to become a more ruthless club inside and out to give ourselves a fighting chance.

I'm at a loss. Virtually everyone in the media saying challenge and he'll get off and we just say OK. Makes no sense.

Re: Tribunal / suspensions 2024
Who makes the call on whether we challenge or not do we know? Does it come from Egan? Bains?
This is an all round horrible decision not to challenge. If he's hurt and we're thinking he needs a spell anyway, just come out and say that. If that's not the case and we're not appealing because of the 10K fee we're in more trouble financially than we thought...
