Re: Following our ex's...................
I played against and with kids at senior level in the GFL who went on to play VFL /AFL and they were already a step ahead of everyone else as 16 / 17 year olds.
Crap players like David Mensch and Kent Butcher used to tear shit up against grown men as 16 year olds in the best comp in Geelong.
Back on topic Everitt signed with his old side Somerville Eagles as co--coach.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Not a player but ... assistance coach Brett Montgomery is still without a job. Link
I wonder what really was the story why he has to leave us?!

Him staying on at the start of last year even though he missed the senior job and working with the bloke whi beat him must have been hard for him but it his knowledge of the players and the game plans would have been very useful for the new coach. I think some of the reason we made such quick improvement was Bevo was able to get a handle on all the information heeded straight away instead of piecing it together from the ground up.
I'm surprised he hasn't got a job. Yet. Maybe he doesn't want an assistants job and figures when the season starts the jobs will come up as they sack coaches.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Probably kick 150 goals because they'll play him deep in the forward line and the gameplan will revolve around a "long bombs to skinny" theme.

Could have saved us some heartache and just stayed there.
No well done to him not chasing the big bucks and giving something back to the club that started him off.

It is a good story. Going back to have a kick with your old mates on the ground it all started at would feel good I reckon. Like the journey has gone full circle.
Especially if he kicks 150 goals.

He could kick 150 from CHB. He has talent to burn, he should rip up a suburban league.

Re: Following our ex's...................
I walked past Everitt at the AFL GF this year. Three points
a: He's very tall
b: I was wondering which team he was barracking for
c: He was wearing a "Matrix" Style long leather coat but cut off tight pants. Looked ridiculous.
