Yes it is difficult. It is a good problem to have.

Some of the older players will need to be managed plus we have some players that will have later starts to the season. I still feel that if our younger guys are in form and impressing on the training track then there will be some opportunities.
Depth in the playing list tends to keep everyone focused the hard part will be keeping players if they feel as though their form warrants senior selection and they aren't getting the opportunities.

Who is going to win the Shaun Higgins Medal for best pre-season performer?

Hopefully no one. That's a medal that will ruin your chances of playing more than 12 games this season.

Re: Preseason Training 2017
The Western Bulldogs will host an open training session on Sunday 29 January 2017 on the Sunshine Coast, giving you the opportunity to meet the reigning 2016 AFL Premiers in your home state and watch them in action during their pre-season training camp.
The training session will be held at the Maroochydore Sports Complex (Fisherman's Road, Maroochydore, QLD) commencing at 9.30am.
The Bulldogs Shop team will also be making the trip north, with a great selection of the 2017 Western Bulldogs official merchandise range available on site purchase.
The Club would once again like to thank you for your ongoing support, and look forward to seeing you Sunday week on the Sunshine Coast.

Re: Preseason Training 2017
I guess our trip north each year is probably one of the reasons why the East West day has been scaled back so much.

Saw Higgins on Monday outside of Arden St.
He is listed at 186cm, would not buy real estate off the guy who measured him. I'm only 6 2 and I was on the road, he was on the footpath and I was still taller than him. Footballers are sometimes intimidating in terms of size and muscle definition - Higgins definitely wasn't.

Re: Preseason Training 2017
He's probably got the grumps because he missed out on a grand final and is not a premiership player like some of his old mates are.
Luke McDonald must have ran by and said, " pity you're not still at the dogs, eh"

Apparently Higgins has taken pointing to a new level this pre season.
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.

Wouldn't have got a game, he is too mentally weak and not even close to the mould of player that will win you a flag.
