Not overly great, but what the hell - it is barely 15-20% of the amount ploughed into Pissant Park so apples v oranges. Having said that, I'd be perfectly comfortable with a complete stop on all of these sorts of vanity projects and govt-funded largesse, so we can actually get serious about protecting our future viability as a nation and not completely run out of money.
But as long as the pollies get to wear their signature hard-hat/hi-viz combo for the all-important photo opp and feel-good puff pieces by the ever compliant media, life is wonderful.

He's certainly not the lone ranger. They all do it and it is nauseating.

Totally agree with what you are saying in that they over rated where they are currently are at. They have had a bloody successful run but it is time for them to recognise that they need to rebuild. It will take longer now that they have traded for Taranto and Hopper.
Yep. Richmond's picks this year in draft are 21, 39, 57, 75

Not a strong hand if you need to rebuild is it? Just two picks inside of 40 and they'll probably get pushed back.

Not to steal Sedat's lines on the home ground.
Apart from Postage Stamp Park, Geelong also have a geographical advantage in that they are the only club that offer a laid back country type lifestyle without the players needing to be a significant distance from the Melbourne city/social life

The whole town of businesses happy to sponsor players as part of an advertising campaign probably wouldn't hurt either. Though I'm sure they aren't the only club that benefits from such arrangements they seem best suited to take advantage.
