The point I was making is there are a few people who would have been very critical if Griffen wasn't given his shot at it.
By the way, I can recall you and I disagreeing on the merits of Cooney being promoted to the captaincy role. For what it's worth, I did see Griffen as a bit of a risk for the captains role but much like Murphy appointment now, we weren't flush with options.
Before this year I've never had Murphy as a captain nomination.

In hindsight of course he was the wrong choice .
I just find it baffling( don't recall any initial condemnation ) Griffen getting the gig.
Just find what he did reprehensible, and to put it at the feet of the previous coach is just wrong .

Griff seemed to be the choice from the outside at the time, but if those in the know new he was uncomfortable and did not want the position then they should have made another choice and not been so pig headed.
It's better to die on our feet than live on our knees.
