21 hours to go and no word that he is still with us.

Wonder if he will be involved with a trade?

I'm sure they'll work out his contract situation prior to the next list lodgment date.

I think you might be reading more into this than is necessary. It's not like if he hasn't signed by tomorrow we have lost him. Yes he could be traded and yes he might be looking elsewhere but tomorrow is not the deadline for him to be a Bulldog next season.

I read something in this mornings paper along the lines of "Mitch Hahn is certain to remain a Bulldog..."

Can't remember where I read it and can't be stuffed finding a link.

So at a guess is he staying, going or using this as a bit of leverage with his contract?
I rate him and I think we need him but I wouldn't be devastated if we traded him for something decent.

I would think Mitch will stay...they are just haggling over his contract.

From memory Ray signed well after the trades last season.

Wasn't it just before the PSD last year?

mitch hahn would be in the top 10 players we cant afford to trade. he will be very important next year with his size and strength. he will provide aggression hopefully along with hudson, minson , callan, addison

Is this starting to worry anyone, I read Carlton have been sniffing around
with all these departures how can we think positive for next year

He has been offered a contract though...it is not as if his performances in 2007 would warrant a payrise! Had the bad fortune to be coming back from a knee in a contract year...had the good fortune to injure his knee with 12 months to go on his contract.

We could certainly do with a HUGE THUMPING DOSE OF AGGRESSION.
Looking forward to getting Minson back in the team.

Me too, a bit of agression is what our team needs!
Hahn has a good strong body, which could be of use. If he stays un-injured long enough to actually USE it!~

I thought it was interesting they offered him a three year deal - and a real vote of confidence in the player from the footy department. Presumably it would not be top dollar, but as we've discussed elsewhere he isn't a player whose contributions really command top dollar.

Hopefully both Hahn and Murph bounce back strongly in 2008

He should be very thankful to be given a 3 year contract. Whilst he is a useful player and very hard at it his skills aren't exactly great and he's often injured.

The wait is over, Mitch has signed a new 3 year contract.

Hahn re-signs with Dogs (http://realfooty.com.au/news/news/hahn-resigns-with-dogs/2007/10/22/1192940985133.html)

WESTERN Bulldog midfielder Mitch Hahn has ended weeks of uncertainty about his future by agreeing to a new three-year contract, a commitment Brisbane's Jared Brennan seems increasingly unlikely to make to the Lions.

Hahn, 26, made a successful return to the game this year after a serious knee injury in 2006 and yesterday removed himself from the list of uncontracted candidates for the pre-season draft.

A-men to that! Glad that the tough guy is back. Here is hoping that he can recapture his 2006 form!

Glad he's re-signed, I think it was always pretty much an assured thing. Let's hope he can keep his body right and have a big impact this coming season.

Great news. Let's hope he remains injury free as his aggression and hardness will be a much required trait that has been sorely missed.

Agreed, Hahn, Hudson, Minson and maybe Callan will go a long way to putting a bit more bite back in to the Bulldogs

First post I checked out this morning - I wanted some good news. Mitch is one of my favourites - a unique element to the team - and I'm very happy he has re-signed.

Agree it's great news. He's always been a favourite of mine.
Hopefully he gets a full injury free pre-season in and lifts his endurance. It's all well and good for him to bust through a couple of packs but we need him to able to be part of the midfield rotations and lift his possessions and defensive effort for a full game. He can have a damaging and positive effect for us, hopefully now he can take it to the next level next year.

Yes, Griffen adds a a fair bit of punch to our side and of course Crossy and Boyd just go about their work.

I was watching the replay of the World Cup Rugby final on Sunday and whilst not an expert I was thinking Griffen would have been awesome out wide in Rugby Union
