Got some points to make up in the tipping, need to pick an upset somewhere.

GC over Rich, Stk over Carl, BL over NM.

History tells us that these could happen. But gee its hard to pick which one.

I'm in 22nd out of the 30 woofers in the tipping so not the best. I still have not got a 9 this season.

Same. Don't think I even have an 8 to my name.

I always tip us each week so unless we are winning that goes against us in tipping comps.

People get big big numbers now in footy tipping because there's bugger all upsets.
Talk about a game of two contrasts.
Pies poor in the first, and Adelaide's ball movement and pressure good.
Pies upped the pressure and Adelaide dropping right off .
Dane Swan's been the difference, and Dangerfields injury is significant.
Adelaide can't take a trick injury wise

I hope it's true that Macrae is a new Pendles. Cause original Pendles ain't too bad.

Is he ever . The game's slower when he's got the ball.
Not sure what to make of the Pies, but they rely heavily on their top end.
How good is Brad Crouch going to be??Scotty Thompson looks cooked for mine

Typical of Collingwood supporters, booing the umpires off after a 5 goal win. Pissweak

Dirty club, dirty supporters. Carlton and Essendon aspire to be as loathsome as the filth.

I think The Bombres have them covered for booing the officials to be honest.
Everytime one of the big boys do lose it's predictably the umpires.
BTW thought Cloke was unlucky a few times to be honest.
Then on the flip side the Ravens should have had a free for a push in the back ( would have put them in front)

Carlton struggling early against the Saints. Anyone think Malthouse needs an experienced tactician in the box with him?

Or just a team coming to terms with a new coach?

Carlton is up by 3 goals now.

Do you think we dont need help in the box?

So far I have got all my tips right this round. Went for a risk tonight and tipped the Lions over the Kangaroos at the Gabba.

Bit different Malthouse is a proven coach .
Caught some of the Geelong Dees, and honestly the game was that poor they were concentrating on record low inside 50's and disparity between both teams.
We never have any upsets now, and to be honest it's bloody hard yards.
Going back to 97( not that nightmare) hawks finished second last with 8 wins!

For sure. Would consider Brisbane V NM an upset or not really.

I would consider our win over Brisbane in Round 1 an upset considering they were coming off there NAB Cup victory.

That's not really many.
For a competition with a draft and salary cap, should be more even.

For all the talk of Stkilda playing kids, they had 14 players over 70 games.
Like the look of Tom Lee showed a bit

Jack, worst miss in AFL history!

Running into the goal square front on, no angle, no opponent, annoys Dunstall by grubbering it right into the post.

If the competition were even there would be no upsets. There have been more upsets those were just 3 big ones.

Tom Lee looked impressive.

They gave up a lot to get him, but it highlights you need to be prepared to do that. Hope we take note re: Boyd.

Haven't seen him get so many touches since he was driving along an LA freeway with Pamela Anderson :D

Pretty sure the boat scene featured Mimi McPherson. Tom and Pammy wee definitely driving on the freeway. I remember Tony Martin cracking a joke on The Late Show about Tom Lee having his own special set of airbags to protect him in case there was a crash :D

Tommy and Pam definitely starred on a boat, too.

It was a multi-location shoot (pardon the pun). :D

Mimi was in a bedroom(very grainy 90's footage), Tom and Pam on a boat.

Looking on the bright side, we are above St Kilda on the ladder for the first season in many a year.
Oh when the Dogs come marching in....

And if the 15th team can play 3rd and not put everyone to sleep, at least some parts of the plan seem to be going right.

The only issue is those you know what's get an earlier pick than us!':(

Is it that much of an issue? Is pick one really worth more than pick two? so much depends on how you develop players.

Good point. Joel Selwood (Pick 7, 2005) is the (equal) earliest pick Geelong has had since 1994, when they had a pre-draft selection of Simon Fletcher under the different father-son rules (yes, we know they got the benefit of all those later F/S as well). Since then (1995 onwards) they have had 5 picks in the top 10, all above pick 7.
