Hi guys,

It's time to get yourself a “I'm Cracking In Too!” badge and show the world that you're behind the coach, behind the team and behind the philosophy that is looking increasingly like delivering the goods, long term, for our club.

Here are some ideas for a badge design. Constructive critique welcomed. Designs 1&4 have WOOF.NET.AU on them, designs 2&3 didn't have room.

Design 1:
http://www.simplicitywebdesign.com.au/misc/badge-idea-1.jpg

Design 2:
http://www.simplicitywebdesign.com.au/misc/badge-idea-2.jpg

Design 3:
http://www.simplicitywebdesign.com.au/misc/badge-idea-3.jpg

Design 4:
http://www.simplicitywebdesign.com.au/misc/badge-idea-4.jpg

I'll take the winning design and print some badges depending on demand. We need to get at least 50 badges made. This would cost us $1.26 per badge plus $8 shipping = $1.42 a badge. We'll charge $1.50 a badge.

So, what are your thoughts on the designs, and who's interested?

Definately number 2. I would get one of these.

I'm in! Love your work BAS.

In terms of design, could you take design number 2, remove the "I'm cracking in too" and put "woof.net.au" in it's place (similar to design 4)?

Yep. I like the "black power" feel to it but it'd be great if you could fit a woof logo in there too.

Yeah, I thought that myself. Might also need to simplify the design a bit, remove some of the stuff behind the star, for example.

Would love it if you could have a Bulldog punching.

I'll see what I can do. The badge size is 55mm so may not be lots of room.

Number 4, but I like the style of number two's fist. The #2 design looks a bit busy.

Agree.

Of course, if we get enough interest, we can always do BOTH a simplified design #2 and #4.

Great stuff.

The star and clenched fist design doesn't feel like a Bulldogs design at all, almost looks neo-communist.

Design number 4 is simple and easy to read as others have stated

I'm with BAD on this. Otherwise, it looks bloody brilliant.

EDIT: Actually, now everyone's a critic! I think the Bulldog needs to be a bit closer to the lettering above his head.

This is awesome BAS. I'm not a real club t-shirt kinda guy, but I'll definitely go for one of these.

OK, well it seems there is a lot of interest for the badges — I think #4 is the winner. I'll enquire about whether we can do more than one design. I'll get back to you guys on final numbers.

For the t-shirts, because they're via Red Bubble you can just purchase one if you want one — there is no mark-up or profit made, so shirts are cost-price. However, I think I might fine-tune the design a little bit over the next day or so, so maybe hold off for now.

I tell you what there is really some talent out there.

The scarf and now the badges and t-shirt all look fantastic. The official modern t-shirts aren't very creative. And as people would notice it seems the afl have a design and then apply it to all clubs.

The "First 18" being all the retro gear is the only stuff I buy for myself. Now if we had talent like this doing our designs, surely merch sales would sky rocket.

I'll be buying multiples of anything that is made. Thanks BornAScragger

OK, so I have just tidied up the t-shirt design a bit. There are two options — one with the slogan circling over the bulldog's head like the badges, and one with the slogan beneath the dog (more room on a shirt).

With the badges, as I said I'll be getting a quote today and then we can work out how to get them out to everybody, etc.

With the t-shirts, I've posted them through redbubble.com and therefore we don't need to drum up interest first, you can just go right on and buy one. I have put a 0% mark-up on them, so all prices are cost-price from redbubble.
