Footscray in Hobart

Just back from a couple of weeks in Tassie. On Friday I went for lunch with friends to the Retro Cafe in Salamanca Place, Hobart and was greeted by some red, white & blue. Always nice to find a fellow Dogs supporter away from home, or anywhere really! Had a good chat with Bill the owner who has a desire to see the Western Bulldogs return to the name of Footscray. He's making some Footscray car stickers and kindly gave me a couple of his prototypes. It tied up a great holiday nicely and thought I would share some pics.

Very cool. Yeah I'm a tassie bulldog and know quite a few here in launnie, which is good. Pity I'm all alone at my workplace though :)

Nice to hear MsBulldog. Always good seeing Dogs fans from outside our traditional heartland whether it be in Victoria or Interstate.

I used to go to Retro occasionally but don't remember seeing the red, white and blue in there! We have a Bakers Delight here in Darwin that has dogs team posters and flags all over the walls

I don't know how long "Bill" has owned the place but you certainly can't miss the Footscray stuff now! Nice food too ...
