After a three year battle with cancer, Elaine, wife of Club Legend John Schultz sadly passed away this afternoon. John and Elaine were inseparable and rarely missed a WB match. It was their joint initiative that led to the production of the excellent book, The Bulldog Heritage. Our thoughts are with John, their 3 married daughters and extended family.
Vale Elaine Schultz a true Bulldog who will be sadly missed.

Tragic new for John and his family. I never met Elaine but heard she was a wonderful lady and a bulldog through and through. So sad.

Very sad to hear of Elaine's passing. A lovely, caring lady who was as true a Bulldog one could find. Condolences to John and family.

It is becoming increasingly disappointing to hear with such frequency so many passionate, loyal, life long Bulldog supporters shuffling of this mortal coil without ever witnessing premiership success or for those lucky enough to have been a part of '54 having now waited a further 60 years. It remains the elusive empty box yet to be ticked off the bucket list.
