The incident involving Waite took place during the third quarter of the clash against Richmond at the MCG.
Tigers forward Jake King were both on the ground when King pushed his leg back towards Waite, grazing his chest.
Waite reacted by holding his mouth, suggesting King's boot had hit him in the face.
The MRP booked Waite for misconduct (staging). As it is his first offence of that type, he was handed a simple reprimand with no carryover points attached.
King is facing a $900 fine for his part in the fracas.
I am so glad they have come down on this, I was watching on TV at the time and I didn't want our game to go this way.
