2005 was one of my favourite seasons, we didn't quite make the 8, but we launched a very strong bid to get there late in the season. We played exciting football and were great to watch.
Whilst we have missed our chance to launch such an assault to make the 8 after not quiet getting it done on Sunday, I see some similarities with the momentum the side is building.
Young players are becoming more confident, taking greater responsibility and look set to help us push for a finals birth next year. Like that era when we had Grant, West, Smith and Darcy as senior blokes on their way out, we have a similar mix at the moment.
Anyone else seeing any similarities? I'm hoping they continue and we get a chance to knock off a big club in a final next year.
