60 years ago on this day was our first and only premiership

So it would be today considered a VFL premiership but pre 1996 it would be a VFA premiership. Nonetheless yes I agree it's still a premiership and many I reckon way way better than the 2010 Nab cup win which was only pre season.

Yep that's the best comparison. The VFA evolved into the VFL in the the early 2000s. At first there were no reserves and all clubs were allocated VFA teams but gradually AFL clubs were allowed to have stand alone teams.
