I like the tag line . Hope they go with that logo, as it actually looks like a bulldog and not a constipated cat

How many years had they used #gatherthepack for? I really quite liked that as a slogan, thought they would have kept it going...

New logo looks good...apart from looking like a two-legged dog.

I prefer our traditional logo. Dog guarding the ball. The one on the front of every season ticket from the 1930's through 1970's. Robodog was tired, but this one is a bit cartoonish for my taste.

I was hoping for something like the Canterbury-Bankstown one on display tonight.

Up on the chest, not on the tummy like Robodog was in the past.
Blue surround, burgundy red jumper and shorts,

This one looks better as a picture - but won't look as good on supporter-wear.

I'd say the club is going for the vital marketing strategy (I have no background in marketing so happy for someone to disagree), which I feel had worked reasonably well.
Lots of Twitter action, new hashtag being used, is exactly what they'd want. Assuming it's part of a larger campaign...

Maybe. Its more likely they are putting together other aspects of the campaign still and this element just went up ahead of schedule. They could be tracking pre launch social media data though, get a real sense of their ability to create and have content distributed without going too hard via traditional methods. Establish what the brand's reach is etc.

I like the logo. Glad to see a real Bulldog back in the mix.

Also great video at link

The Bulldog has taken a new visual form, after the Club officially launched a new, dynamic and bold logo at the iconic Pumping Station at Scienceworks in Spotswood this morning.

Representing the positive and transformative change the Club has experienced in the recent past, the new logo epitomises the character and spirit of the Club, its players and supporters.

Formally introduced in the 1920’s the “full bodied” Bulldog appeared within the Club’s emblem for over half a century until the 1980s. Since then, the Club has adopted three logos containing just the head of a Bulldog, with the last change taking place in 1999.

After an extensive rebranding process, which included feedback from representatives from all the levels of the Club, and in conjunction with creative agency Canyon, the new logo displays the fighting spirit in the Bulldog.
Chief Executive Simon Garlick said the new logo continues the exciting journey the Club has recently embarked on, and equally acknowledges its honoured heritage.

“With the exciting growth and evolution of our Club, we are ready for a new visual identity, one that reflects our core Club values, makes reference to our proud past and equally looks to an exciting and prosperous future — we believe we have achieved this with our new logo,” Garlick said.

The logo captures the personality of the Club, and as part of the new brand campaign, members and fans will be challenged to look at themselves and how they can #BeMoreBulldog.

What pick did we have to give up to draft a new logo ?????? :)

Although I quite liked Robodog, I think this one is closer to tradition; and particularly like the year in which we were established being included.

I hope that this doesn't become our away strip.

Although not as timeless as 'Proud', I quite like the remodeled logo for the time but it is far too juvenile / gimmicky to have emblazoned all over a playing strip.

Damn marketers. Fortunately they haven't got their hands on the blue home strip.

The white jumper looks great!

That red jumper is almost exactly what we need.

Red is a winning colour.

I would suggest that the mission and AFL logos be moved slightly higher. The bulldog be made slightly smaller and moved a bit higher to be more in the face of the opposition.

Red, bared teeth, mean look, tough look, energy - its good. The blue is nice, and the white is neat, but we don't want nice and neat.

That's kind of hilarious. They're virtually identical. The dates would indicate that our new logo must've been in use by the MCC for the past 12 months or thereabouts. So who owns the copyright to this ?

The Western Bulldogs had it registered two years ago. We held it back due to a glut of unsold merchandise with the old logo on it. The new logo was leaked on Google images two years ago and obviously someone from the Mornington CC knocked it off...

Which would be fine, but to have to put up with people on SEN today claiming that we knocked the logo off a suburban cricket club is insulting to say the least!

I thought the bigger issue is that the explanation about the logo is the dog is looking to the west. But the dog is looking to his/her right, which is the east as the dog sees it.
