News on the Age is that Chris Pelchen has resigned at St Kilda after a football department review.
I think he offered his resignation 12 months back when Watters ended up being sacked.

The Saints might already have someone to replace him.

Did anyone else just get that sinking feeling?

One of the biggest threats to pelicans is fishing line. I'm off to Tackle World Laverton, then might be seen rigging 30lb braid across the doors of the Whitten Oval. Who's with me?

There was some speculation Carlton were trying to poach him.

I think we're good for now. McCartney and Dalrymple have for the most part done an excellent job.

Why would you want a guy thrown out of the last placed team anyway?

Heard on SEN last night that Carlton rang St.Kilda and denied that. Apparently Silvangi is leaving GWS and is on the way back to Carlton.

Apparently Ricky Nixon isn't Pelchen's biggest fan, from his Facebook:

The general public would just about prefer to hear from Jason Akermanis than Nixon, and that's saying something!

Is that from Nixon's comedy act?

I think they would rather hear from Richard Nixon, and that'd be scary because he's been dead for years.

Interesting. I wonder why they've done it, considering they have appeared to throw all their chips behind his philosophy of rebuilding through the draft and obtaining as many early picks as possible?

I heard the interview this afternoon, I think they needed to bring in more a professional approach across a number of specialist areas.

It all appears to be amicable but I think once the trade period was completed and the fact that Ameet Bain will oversee it Pelchen needed to move on. Carlton have already confirmed he won't be coming to them.

Wonder how ol' Aker is these days. Being court martialled in some distant league fo cyber-bullying I seem to have glossed.
Has the intelligence of a wet ball he is so famous for being able to kick.

So the pelican is flying around. Wonder where he will end up next.

Nixons twitter seems as good as his stand up routine. Anyone that cheats on his wife with a 17yo schoolgirl who brought down 'his' footy club and then gets caught out cheating by said 17yo school girl and her camera deserves not to have any thought published.

Old Ricky Nixon, a philandering, cretinous, **********e with a poor sense of humour and two minute noodles for hair.

My only hope is one day a device will be created by Apple or Samsung that will work along the lines of the memory erasers from Men In Black, so I can finally get rid of the sleazy image of him kneeling on that bed in his underpants.

Ah man, I used the memory wiper from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind. I had forgotten about that image until now, the key is not being reminded. Now it's back... What a schmuck he is.
