From the HUN (http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/afl-recruiters-reveal-their-favourite-picks-ahead-of-thursdays-national-draft/story-fnp04d70-1227132161963) Pretty funny about him falling asleep in interviews. I used to have a student who did that. You would be talking to him and he would just fall asleep.

Brian Lake (Pick 71, 2001, Western Bulldogs):

Scott Clayton:

He had been overlooked in the 2000 draft despite displaying that intercept marking that you see today. The problem was he was falling asleep in interviews and waking up then saying something stupid. It didn’t add up so we went a big deeper and discovered he suffered from sleep apnoea. He had an operation to have his adenoids removed. We knew he was happy to work because he had a job at the abattoirs where he was getting up early. When the draft came we knew we could pick him wherever we liked. Brian is a nice story for our sport.

Mick Moylan

Brian Lake there was a lot of discussion about him as a junior. There were different stories about him such as kicking the ball out of the ground one day.\

Matthew Rendell

Brian Lake (71) was different, no doubt. People didn’t doubt his talent but they weren’t sure they could handle him or if he could fit in. Two Premierships later would suggest he was a punt worth taking by Scott Clayton.
