The Western Bulldogs have revealed their guernsey numbers for 2015, with several Dogs inheriting some famous numbers.

Lachie Hunter becomes the 28th player at the club to wear number 7, joining Bulldogs greats Doug Hawkins, Scott West and Alby Morrison to have worn the guernsey.

While Nathan Hrovat will take over number 13 from the departing Daniel Giansiracusa.

“To be able to take his number is a real honour,” Hrovat said, speaking with The Age on Monday.

Dogs ruckman Tom Campbell will swap number 45 for 15 in 2015, adopting the guernsey number made famous by the Club’s Brownlow Medal winning ruckman Scott Wynd.

Draftee Bailey Dale has been given the number 31, the guernsey made famous by Bulldogs Hall of Famer Kelvin Templeton.

As revealed last week, boom Bulldogs recruit Tom Boyd will take on the number 17 – his number from junior playing days – while fellow recruits Shane Biggs and Joel Hamling will wear 24 and 30 respectively.

Amongst the guernsey numbers to be worn by the Club’s latest crop of draftees, father-son selection Zaine Cordy will wear number 12 following the retirement of Tom Williams, while first draft pick Toby McLean will wear the number 16 vacated by Ryan Griffen.

Caleb Daniel will wear the number 35 made famous by Terry Wheeler and Steven Kretiuk, while Declan Hamilton replaces Hunter in the number 26, and Lukas Webb takes on the number 19.

Rookies Roarke Smith and Jordan Kelly will wear 37 and 34 respectively in their first season at the Kennel.

Surprised to see Cordy up there with 12, he was the last picked of our draftees

How is his draft position relevant to the number he takes?

Players are given priority choice based on the position they were drafted.

The priority order goes;

Players already at the club
Players traded in from another club
Draftees in order of draft position
Rookies in order of draft position

Good to see Campbell ask for Scoty Wynd's old number. Looking forward to seeing how he develops in 2015.

I can see 2015 being his breakout season. It wouldn't surprise me if he was the number 1 ruck at season's end.

Yes. Campbell has far more tools to work with, for me it's just a matter of time.

I can't wait to see how they measure up after the preseason. Bonti's supposed to have filled out heaps already, for example.
