I guess we're all migrants to some extent although Frankston is the furthest I've strayed from Footscray, my hometown and my blood appears to be Viking Irish.

Played for Footscray in the 1990's and some of the noughties.

I was a tall defender who impressed with his athleticism and running ability. I announced my arrival on the scene with a stand out performance in a finals series. I never quite recaptured the promise I showed in my early days and found myself out of the system surprisingly quickly.

Sedat Sir.

I remember a radio station was making a big deal about how Bachar Houli was the first muslim to play AFL, then a bloke called up and said Sedat Sir was in fact the first muslim. The host said Sedat Sir wasn't a muslim, to which which the caller replied he IS Sedat Sir and he certainly is a muslim, only for the host to reply no you're not and cut him off. You couldn't write a more ridiculous situation :D

I was a midfielder who commenced my football career in the WAFL (1980's) before being picked up by a VFL club through controversial circumstances. I played 49 games there before being transferred to the Bulldogs and played a further 20-30 games.

When I was delisted I ended up in the SANFL. I finished my career back in the WAFL and in fact coached a team after my playing days.

I also played 8 games for my state.

Originally from Western Australia I came to the Bulldogs from another VFL club around 20 years ago. Previous to this I had played in the former VFA competition. I was at the Bulldogs for over 50 games before returning to WA where I now run a business in Broome. I still occasionally volunteer at the MCG and was at one time after leaving the Bulldogs interested in coaching the Fremantle Dockers .

This guy came over from WA to play VFL then went to VFA then to bulldogs? Is that right?

Sorry, not originally from W.A but everything else is the same. Born in Melbourne I played VFL first then went to the VFA to captain / coach Preston and I took them to a Premiership. I then went to W.A for 10 years joining East Fremantle and then East Perth before joining a now AFL team for an additional 4 seasons before coming to the Bulldogs around the mid 90s. I returned to W.A to live and work after leaving the Bulldogs and was linked to the vacant Fremantle coaching position at one stage. Having such an affiliation with W.A I just always thought he was from there and should have researched better. You need to think a bit outside the box on this one.

I don't think it's correct but I'll guess Todd Curley?

It's not Todd Curley - another good guess.

The one I am thinking of is v Hawthorn at Whitten oval in 1985. Super takes a mark and kicks the sodden ball about 50 metres to put our nose in front with only a couple of minutes to play, we held on and won a rain sodden game 5.something to 4 something.

We played a game the next year in similar conditions against Essendon in 1986 at Whitten oval. Despite the fact we didn't kick a goal for the first 3 quarters we got on a roll and hit the front in the last quarter.but Essendon kicked the last goal and won the game. A guy called Jon Bennett kicked 3 of our 4 goals in the last quarter and I don't think he ever played for us again despite kicking 100 goals in the reserves.

Yes I remember that game Twodogs. I stood with my dad in the pocket at the Mount Mistake end and I think it was that left footer Bradbury who kicked the winning goal for them. Might be wrong there but have never gone home so drenched in my life. I was also unsure why Bennett didn't play more games in the firsts. He was a real gun in the Reserves and never disgraced himself when in the firsts.

Yep it was Bradbury from a pass from Tim Watson with Neil Cordy stood between then unsure what to do. Bradbury was his man but Cordy had gone kick chasing and Bradbury wandered unnoticed tot the goal square. The ball ended up with Watson on the half forward flank and Cordy 20 metres away from his direct opponent who was in the square all by himself.

I think this might be on the money

Do you remember the game mate? I've got a vague recollection of Osborne kicking a clutch goal under difficult conditions.but I can't recall the details of the game.79&@

I think we had the game won and Ossie got a mark about 55 out. Went back and kicked a torp and it went through with a good 5mtrs to spare.

I remember one of Ossies at Whitten oval against Melbourne. Osborne ran 50 metres, baulked half a dozen opponents and kicked a Barrell on the run from about 60. Chris Grant once told me it's the best goal he had ever seen.

Who am I? I was the player who's goal put us in front deep in the last quarter of the Qualifying final in 1994 only for us to lose to a Billy Brownless goal on the siren

Round 20, 1987, An old mate of mine is the guy who runs onto the ground and jumps up and down near him because at the time we thought the draw was enough the get us into the finals. But I can't think if it was MacGuiness who kicked the goal or not.

That's right, Macca was the one who told my mate to stop being a dill.

Brian Royal or Steve MacPherson?

I was pretty angry with Cordy for not having stayed with his opponent in that situation. It's burned in my memory along with Paul Hudson getting in Chris Grants way and Libbas goal in 1097.

1097 a good year! The year Huddo got in the way off Granty and the 1st Crusaders arrived in Antioch :D.

I bumped into Libba and Angelo Petraglia at the Area Nightclub in the Croydon Hotel that night. I still can't recall whether Libba was more shocked that we got up and levelled the score to draw the match or that someone recognised him in Croydon. Pretty sure it was the latter.

Ossie kicked a huge barrell to the Barkly St end in the last quarter of Doug's 322nd game against the Cats. We pretty much had the game wrapped up by that stage, but it was icing on the cake on what was a special day at the Whitten Oval.

Was that the one where he basically started his run up from the Bulldog players' race? Still the longest goal I've seen live.

I think that the same one as mine earlier. It was a massive kick just huge. The forwards all led expecting the ball to be kicked to them but instead it went 20 metres over their heads.
