One of my fondest days at the footy, went with a group of mixed supporting mate and SS who wanted us to have a win.
We also had an Canadian rep over with us who wanted to see some hustle and bustle, but told it was wiped out.
Low and behold before the siren it was on, one Shanuke Doggies supporter for life.
Poured rain before half time so the Lioness ( 6 months pregnant) left and went to the Buck with the rest of the girls.
If anyone (like myself )has the picture it is one KT's facing the scoreboard, white sleeved Bulldogs jacket, first pumping at 8 o'clock.

This is the first game I ever went to, I have a t-shirt to prove it!

"Dog's vs Eagle's - The Last Stand"

No typo.

Wish I went to that game. Started supporting the Dogs from 2001 onwards. Glad I went to the first AFL game there in 18 years back in February. I loved the experience of playing out at our real home.

There is no over feeling quite like playing at home.

The big moment is when a Bulldog home game for premiership points is played there.

I know the ground quite well now. With the Gent and Whitten Stands on the Hocking street side of the ground nearer the train. It was very easy navigating around the ground. Straight up Sutton way gets you to the Whitten statue and to the Barkers cafe and the reception and museum are to the right and Bulldog shop to the left. Out to the ground you keep walking straight.

I was in the UK . Spewing I missed it still .
Those were times we weren't " everyone's second favourite team".
Back then had to call home to get the AFL scores

Was happy with the win but sad that it was our last game there. Some people never went to another game after we moved my father included. Remember walking to the centre of the ground and touching the marker. Took a photo of the scoreboard. Strange day.
